impact WRKSHP fellowship

Here at SCH+ARC we believe design drives change. We are on a mission to empower it.

In 2014, we launched SCH+ARC : Impact WRKSHP, a 3 month intensive fellowship program for emerging female practitioners who seek to impact social outreach through design. Fellows engage in projects along four impact tracks, promoting community enrichment, social equity, environmental awareness, and educational access.

Bringing together strategic alliances between industry partners and community activists, SCH+ARC Impact WRKSHP provides fellows with professional development through project management, training, and mentoring. In addition to stipend funding, fellows gain exposure to an expansive network of change-makers, designers, builders, dreamers, and doers.

Fellowship cycles conclude with Impact Day: A community enrichment event in which completed projects are deployed locally to foster outreach. Select projects will be considered for inclusion in a traveling exhibition and summary of works publication following completion of their Impact WRKSHP cycle.

This fellowship is open to female US citizens who are current or recent design graduates in architecture, interior design, industrial design, and related disciplines.
